Pre-fab and integrated renovation toolkits: an opportunity for a Renovation Wave in Social Housing?

Time & Location

21 Sep 2020, 10:00 – 11:00 CEST

About the Event

The "Renovation Wave" requires to shift to the next gear in terms of techniques and products. This 1-hour webinar will offer housing providers and decision-makers a clear picture of the latest technologies in the nascent industry of renovation toolkits. By bringing together practitioners from the supply and the demand side we will look at the promises behind different concepts of renovation toolkits and the required conditions for their market roll-out.

Social, public and cooperative housing providers are increasingly looking at pre-fabricated and integrated renovation concepts that offer better outcomes in terms of delivery speed, cost & affordability, comfort and end-user requests. Through a market review, Housing Europe has been screening different models of renovation toolkits in Europe, such as the one being developed in the EU-funded HEART project. The webinar will focus on some of the benefits, difficulties and other requirements that would allow renovation toolkits to drive a Renovation Wave in Social Housing.

The final conclusion of the research, including the webinar, will be published in October 2020.
